Country of Origin: Guinea
Lansana (Sana) Camara hails from Saraya, a small village in Guinea. Being born into a family of griots (village story tellers) and musicians, Sana has been playing djembe, balafon and kora since he was 10-years old. Sana is now based in Australia, where he performs with Balabajal (a three-piece traditional African music ensemble), Tribalious (an African contempory percussion ensemble), Tibet to Timbuktu (a fusion of Tibetan, African, Indian and Australian music) and Adoona (a four-piece contempory group highlighting the kora). Also, Sana has been involved in corporate drumming workshops, teaching, and running workshops.

This new CD is well recorded with beautiful music from Sana's kora.
